Hello ! Today we are going to tell you about our English and American breakfast experience in class. Our teacher organized it to celebrate the European week. So, basically each pupil prepared at home a British, American or even Canadian recipe and we had to explain what we cooked, baked or grilled. That was a great moment because we could taste lots of specialities !
First of all, on the American side of the buffet, some classmates prepared brownies, pancakes, cookies, muffins, carrot cake and peanut butter. We all loved American treats ! Next some pupils brought some British recipies like cinamon rolls, scones, crumble, and lemon curd to try on toast … As for the Canadian experience, we could have a go at maple sirop. Our English teacher, Mrs Mottey, prepared some tea and milk in the English style but unfortunately, we did not have a kettle so the tea was just warm and then cold ! We had fun mixing American and British specialities : for example we tasted scones with peanut butter and pancakes with lemon curd!
Spicy, sweet, savoury…There were dishes for all tastes ! This breakfast was really tasty !
